On the River and Trails

Historic Centreville rests on the banks of the Corsica River on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, offering easy access to exceptional fishing, cycling, paddling and amazing sunsets. The Town and surrounding areas also feature well-marked paddling and biking trails.

Centreville Central Bicycle Trail starting at the Route 18 Park, the trail runs clockwise for 18.9 miles or you can take a short loop for 9.1 miles. Located in Centreville, the county seat and geographic center of Queen Anne’s County, this ride includes nice, forested sections and is convenient to many local restaurants.

The Monster Bicycle Trail starts at Mill Stream Park, right here in Centreville, and will take you all over upcountry totaling for a ride of 58.9 miles. This ride features some of the best roads for bike touring with great shoulders, smooth pavements, and not too much traffic. Counter-clockwise direction is recommended.

Woods, Wildlife & Water Bicycle Trail runs clockwise starting at White Marsh Park and totals for a bike ride of 22 miles. This trail is a local favorite, highlighting quiet roads, water views, and plenty of forest. In the early morning, you might see herons, osprey, fox, or even an albino deer. This area is a wonderful patchwork of roads and if you’re feeling adventurous, look at the map and wing it!

Water Trails

If you want to ditch the two wheels for a kayak or boat, Centreville has got your covered. All of the Corsica River Water Trails start from the soft launch at Centreville Wharf. These trails provide water recreation opportunities for paddlers of all abilities. Novice paddlers or those seeking a leisurely experience will enjoy exploring the Mill Stream and Yellow Bank Stream trails. More experienced paddlers can take on the challenge of open water and longer distance offered by the Corsica River and Alder Branch Trail.
